
Mission
The mission of the Bertha C. Boschulte Middle School Library and Media Center is to ignite curiosity and empower students through innovative learning experiences that foster love of reading and research, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. The library will provide access to diverse resources and technologies that build strong foundations in digital and information literacy, supporting students' academic, emotional, and social growth in a rapidly evolving world.

Our vision is to be a forward-thinking learning space where students develop the skills to navigate, evaluate, and create information responsibly and effectively. Through a culture of innovation and inquiry, we inspire lifelong learners who are equipped to solve problems, think critically, and engage meaningfully in a global society.
Essential Agreement
Be Responsible

When entering the library with your class, please line up properly and log your attendance using the library system. Scan your Student ID card barcode or type in your Student ID number. Before leaving, make sure to log out of the attendance system.

Take care of books and materials – handle them gently and return them in pristine condition.

Use technology wisely – follow school rules when using computers and accessing information online. Use your school Microsoft accounts to log in to the computers.

Keep the library clean – throw away trash in designated bins and pull-out/push-in chairs slowly and quietly.

Stay focused – use your time for reading, studying, or research.
Be Respectful

Please do not crowd the login counter. Allow one student to log in at a time.

Use a whispering or quiet voice – respect others who are reading or working.

Follow library rules as discussed during library class – listen to the librarian and school staff.

Be kind to others – share space and resources fairly.

Respect all materials – do not steal, mutilate, vandalize, or damage library properties and resources.
Be Safe

Walk, don’t run – avoid accidents in the library.

Mobile phones are strictly prohibited. Only school-issued devices may be used. Personal devices will be confiscated and can be collected from the Dean of Students’ office by violators.

Use the internet safely – Do not access webpages that are not recommended by the school. Always follow digital citizenship guidelines.

Keep personal belongings with you – don’t leave items unattended.

Keep yourself in your own Bubble – Remind others not to bother you. If someone makes you uncomfortable, report to the librarian, teachers, and staff immediately.
Important!
Students who cannot comply with this agreement will not be admitted to the library.
